Bunny &Ross do
all the cutting and finishing by hand.
Sewing may be done by hand or by machine,
depending upon the customer's preference (however hand-sewn articles are more time-consuming, and therefore slightly higher
in cost).
Ross handmakes braided leather bosals,
quirts, lines and whips.
Only the finest materials are used, Montana silver, hand-picked heavy (16 oz) sides for skirts
and leathers and fenders. The leather for saddles, latigo, bridles, harness and halters, as well as other projects is obtained
from 'The Leather Factory' in Winnipeg, MB. Sheepskin (usually chrome tanned 5/8" white) is normally used for
saddle skirt lining and breast-collars. (Kodel may be used at customer request).
Not only does PS Leatherworks
provide the valuable service of repairing saddles, bridles, and halters but can also custom make bridles/headstalls
and/or breast-collars, billets, back cinches, etc. to match old saddles.
Restoration and repair
of antique saddles is done by hand.
Harness repairs are also done by hand.
Prairie Storm Custom Leatherworks can also make a saddle and matching tack for your
horse.
