Hand made bosal and headstall

This bosal and headstall were made as a joint effort by Prairie Storm Leather and Associates. Ross, PS Leather's Associate, hand made the bosal, which takes (roughly) 40 hours of braiding, Ross also made the knots, which are used as strapkeepers, on the headstall. The Bosal itself has a rawhide core and is about 5/8 inch thick on the nose button. The headstall, made by Bunny, is made of 10 oz latigo, all finished with Tandy's Leathersheen. This bosal and headstall are being donated to the Children's Wish Foundation for the "Wishride" on August 21, 2004. They will be auctioned in the "silent auction" with the proceeds going to the Children's Wish Foundation.

You can have your quirt "made to order", choice of leather colors, length, handle, grip.

1930 restored (by Bunny) Porter Saddle

This saddle is now in use. It needed cleaning, and slight adjustment to the "on the tree" rigging

Les's Chaps

These are Les's Chaps, made of deer-tanned cowhide, the tops are tooling leather, with Les's horse, Blazer on a cut out skyblue suede backing. They are hanging on the Porter Saddle.

This quirt was hand-braided. Please allow 8-10 weeks for custom whip, bosal or quirt orders.

This is a close up of Les's chaps top, showing more detail of the carving and leather work. Because Blazer is a palomino, acrylic paints were added to better personalize Blazer's head.
