| Cowboy and his dam, Mitzy |
Beaver's L'il Cowboy came to us in the spring of 2003, from
his birthplace in Rainy River. His Dam is a Beaver daughter, named Mitzy (Miss Hickory Mitzy) and his sire was Zip's
Chip, both Foundation QH's.
"Cowboy" as we call him, is the last grandson of Art's Foundation
stallion, Little Boy Beaver. (April 7, 1970 - December 9, 2003).
We are very pleased to have him, here's some pics of Cowboy at
different stages in his life:

Cowboy apparently did not like
or trust men before he came to us. Here he is pictured with Les, seems quite comfortable with Les. This pic was
taken in March 2003, the day after we got Cowboy.

| Cowboy reacting to a filly in heat, March 2003 |
We had cowboy gelded shortly
after his arrival at the ranch, since his precocious behaviour (below) at 10 months was making us nervous that he might actually
be able to breed one of our or our boarders' mares.

Cowboy as a colt was a very smart
little fellow, and one of the first things that he learned was to stand tied.

Cowboy is a very smart colt,
and over the past 3 years has learned many things, including ground manners, and how to be a saddle horse.
