| The LB Ranch Welcome wagon |
When new horses
come to board here, we have our version of the local chapter of the Welcome Wagon. Horses, until they are ready to go out
with the others in pasture, are usually kept in the big corral for roughly a week. The first two horses a new horse meets
are Justin and Blazer. These two "big dogs with hard feet" are gentle, non-aggressive geldings, fairly senior in the
herd, and they can show the newcomer "the ropes". Once the new horse has had the orientation from Justin and Blazer, then
we will change to other ranch-owned horses, so that when they do go out to pasture, the new horse has a "buddy" to "hang with".
(Keeps them all out of trouble). So, here's the "LB Ranch Welcome Wagon with some new horses.
