Les on Lady (left) and Art on Blazer

Les, on the left on Blonde Lady, and Art on Blazer, the first time these horses were here, in 1994, to be broke. Blazer was a 2 yr old and smaller at that time than his mom, but not anymore!

The "Troublesome Threesome"

Just another warmish spring day, and Justin, Conan and Blazer are starting up their games for the day.  The three "musketeers" just try to find trouble, and if there is any to be found, they'll likely be in the center of it.  (if not the cause).

Buddies for life

Blazer and Conan, playing out in the big corral.  These horses were both 1992 babies, and from age 2 on, were good buddies, and part of the "troublesome threesome" (just add Justin).  These three had a great friendship!

Ken Z. on his horse, Duke, ponying Conan on a train hold-up at the Hitch'n Post.  Ken and Duke have been with us for approximately 10 years, and are part of the "Hitch" Posse.

Bunny's neice, Nicky on Conan, her preferred buddy

This is Nicky, one of Bunny's neices,  (Barb's daughter).  She used to work here at the ranch when Art owned it, and actually, if it wasn't for Nick, Bunny wouldn't be here.  Here, she's riding Conan, a tri-colored Leopard App/QH cross. Quick horse, good rider.

Doug Miller and Blonde Lady

Doug Miller (who's in his eighties) has been riding here on a casual basis for "years".  His preferred mount is Jade, one of Beaver's daughters.  Here he is pictured on Blonde Lady, Blazer's mom.

Susan Mc on Aurora, and Art Butler on Beaver ca: 1997 - old friends.  Susan was a long time boarder here, with her palomino mare, Aurora (affectionately called "Rory") and continued to keep Rory here even after she married and moved to Nova Scotia.

Diane's a friend of LB Ranch, (pictured here on Conan).  She part-boarded Conan.  Diane moved to Calgary a couple of years ago.......we miss you, Diane!

Pictured here are Bunny (on Jade) and Krystle E. (on Rose), on their way out for a ride.  Krys followed Ira out west in the summer of 2006, best of luck to our good friends, Ira and Krys!  (We miss you, especially on Thursday nights!)

Old friends meet

Charlie, (on the left) belongs to a former boarder named Bob H.  Sting and he used to board together at a different facility.  When Charlie moved to LB Ranch, Sting moved to his owner, Pat's, new home in the country...about 1/2 mile from LB Ranch.   These two horses hadn't seen each other since Bob moved "to the sitcks" 3 years ago.  It was rather touching, the reunion this summer when Bob brought Charlie down to Woodlands for the Wishride, and brought him here to visit for the day with us.
